Calls for Submissions: September Telltales and Looe Litfest

Submissions are open now for the next Telltales event on Tuesday, 26 September at 7:30. We’ll be at at Dolly’s Wine Bar in Falmouth once again. The theme is “Tomorrow” We’re open to all kinds of writing — stories, poems, memoirs, inventions, reflections, digressions…but ten minutes is the limit…that’s about 1600 words of prose, or about three fairly short poems.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday 21 September. We look forward to seeing your work!
Looe Literary Festival
Members of the Looe Writing Group (Lowrig) and Telltales are invited to contribute to an open reading session at the Looe Literary Festival at the Millpool Centre on Saturday, 18 November. Biography, fiction, non-fiction and poetry are all welcome. The theme is The Sea, which given Looe’s rich heritage should provide plenty of inspiration. Entries, by email please, must not exceed 1,000 words and should reach douglasbence@btinternet.com by 31 October. Both Telltales and Lowrig will confer to produce a balanced programme. New and established writers are encouraged.
