Penzance, Dolly’s and Port Eliot

Telltales writers were ‘Going Underground’, and excelled once more, at The Admiral Benbow, Penzance when we made our contribution to that town’s literary festival
You could have heard the proverbial pin drop as – against a view of the sun going down over Mounts Bay – the audience listened to word spells cast by Nancy Roth, Azhlee Avro, Maureen Sleeman, Rob Barratt, Sarah Perry (casting stitches as well as words), Rose Cook, Gray Lightfoot and Des Hannigan.
There were also songs from Jig the Quavers (aka Paul Haines, Heather Hosking, Sue Kittow, Janet Mortimer and John Roberts).
At the end of the evening the compliments were fulsome.
Now we’re preparing to do it all again – with a few changes – at Dolly’s Bar, Church Street, Falmouth (over the Falmouth Bookshop) on Tuesday 26th July 7.30 pm The writers are all prepared so we just need an audience. All are welcome, and – as usual at Dolly’s – entry is free.
We’ll be back on the road and at the Port Eliot Festival on Friday 29th July. The theme for writing then will be ‘Elephant in the Round Room’. Come and listen to our writers in the Cornish Tent at 5.15pm.
